Call for Stream Convenors
We are pleased to open a call for new stream convenors across a number of existing SLSA Streams. We are very grateful for the work that those convenors who are stepping down have done over the years and recognise the huge commitment that has gone into making their streams a success.
We have spaces for new convenors across the following streams:
- Art, culture and heritage – 1 Convenor
- Children’s rights – 1 Convenor
- Constitutionalism in developing democracies – 1 Convenor
- Environmental law – 1 Convenor
- Health and bioethics – 2 Convenors
- Indigenous rights – 2 Convenors
- Intellectual property – 1 Convenor
- Law and motion – 1 Convenor
- Managing and protecting people on the move – 1 Convenor
- Social rights, citizenship and the welfare state – 1 Convenor.
Convenors will have an initial term of 3 years (renewable for a further term of 3 years). If you require further information about one of the streams, please contact the existing convenors.
Stream convenors are responsible for advertising the call for papers for the Annual Conference as well as taking decisions on the submitted abstracts. They also work to organise the panels for the conference, communicate with presenters and organise chairing of the panels.
Stream convenors are expected to attend the SLSA Annual Conference in person. If a convenor is unable to attend, it is their responsibility to ensure panel chairs (ie this is not the responsibility of the conference organisers).
Please see our Stream Convenor Policy for further details.
If you are interested in taking up one of these roles, please email Kirsten McConnachie (Stream Secretary) at
